Hobby progress: Praetorians and mystery project

You may well have seen ZombieStates really funky Free-riders. They are damn sexy.
I thought I'd share some of my hobby too............yes, I can hobby too.

I'm not a great painter, I can paint to a decent table-top standard, and I'm happy with that, sometimes I can do some great stuff, but with me, it's all about motivation...........
I had an idea about more dynamic infantry. Inspired by an article in a German table-top magazine, (I don't normally read German magazines especially ones about the tops of tables, but TechBoy and Zombie both featured in the mag) there were some PHR Immortals on a lava-base. It doesn't sound too inspirational, but it was the positioning of the individual models on the base. They weren't simply stuck in their holes, but grouped more as a squad.

I have taken it one step further. I have made a mini diorama as a base for my elite troopers. I used a Blotz building and cut up a wall and other MDF bits as I wanted the Praetorians to look like they have breached a building some way up in the air, and are entering and securing the area.

I have modeled some red berets (with green stuff) for my boys as they will be the special forces of my army (obviously!). I've even cut up some tiny pieces of transparent acrylic to act as glass shards from the window breach.
There's also some office furniture that I have made from balsa wood (this has not been added yet, but is WIP)

Hope you like them as much as I do (they are not quite finished, but close enough to share), this will inevitably lead me on to do more interesting things with my Legionnaires........again.........motivation.......

On to my mystery project which involves a Ferrum, a couple of Neptunes, some plasticard, green stuff and starsprite drones.

I can't give too much away, but it is a work-in-progress. As soon as it is finished I will post some pictures.

All this is for Invasion in September (BOOM!.......there's my motivation), you may have guessed, I'm taking UCM. This will be the first time they have graced an Invasion for a while, last time I used them I came 2nd to Zombies Shaltari, but with numbers swelling, competition going global, it will be difficult to replicate that feat.
If I can get top UCM player I will be more than satisfied.........maybe.
