Character Building: The lists

The Cave Breaker, Jocasta Caine and Arthur J Wade
For those of you who made it to the end of our (super long) podcast, you may remember that we had a section called Character Building. In this feature we each made a 2000 point list using a famous commander from Reconquest: Phase 1, in a battle format. The main change to a clash format is the addition of a seventh battlegroup, and being able to add an extra squad here or there too.

Here are the lists:

Mine was the Cavebreaker list, and we worked out that I have enough Prowlers to make this list!
Edchopps was Jocasta Caine, and was voted the best of the three. Mega Mike’s was Wade, which was voted the most fun but also the least ‘efficient’.

Making a 2000 point is a different beast to a 1500 point one, and I fully suggest booting up FFOR and giving it a go. It’s one of those weird, spreadsheet, football manager kind of funs!

    1. Oops, that should be 1 Intruder per 4 Prowlers (good spot). Oh well, if I can find the time and the will power I'll change it ;)

I think the army has over 120 legs in total, excluding Destroyers!

  2. I believe the UCM list may be not quite legal. I'm trying to recreate it in FFoR. Besides FFoR not having the famous commanders, it's also telling me that 4 squads of legionnaires is not legal for a single battle group. Would they not have to split up into two battle groups since you're only allowed 3 squads per?

    1. We were using battle army structures, so four is fine. You are limited to three in a clash, and two in a skirmish.

  3. FFoR must not be updated with the new rules I guess.

    1. Yep it is! You need to select battle as an army type though. It's actually what I double checked on this morning.
