Episode 12.5: Postvasion - The Vasion
So, to ask you the same question I ask Mike each pod, how did you all enjoy the news? I thought so.
As promised, here is the second half of the same pod, which we have cheekily claimed as a point five episode. This instalment features the shenanigans from invasion, and also a run through of each of our games.

OB Podcast Episode 12: Postvasion - The News
You could think of Invasion as a mighty, giant uddered cow, who's milk is the very nectar of information and interest. On that same train of thought, you could also say that we at OB have grabbed a teat each and milked that mighty, giant uddered cow for all it's worth. Seriously, the cow is now completely void of the weird milk. Barren.

Mega Mikes Invasion Day 2
I have learnt something, Ad Vindutum means 'the Revenge' - thank you google |
Here is day 2, if you haven't read day 1 it's here just for you.
As you may know from day 1, I have won all my games so far. I have had some good tests, but the sternest is to come.
After the 2 games, I have added some pictures of my army and some cobbled together thoughts about each battlegroup. Hope you enjoy.

Mr Resistance - Invasion day 1
Mr Resistance!
Hi all, firstly thanks to all my lovely opponents and everyone that turned up to make invasion 2016 an awesome weekend. I managed to play 4 people I have never played before, so that was cool, and I managed to avoid the second OB team, win win.
This is my first battle report, so have a read through tell me what you think. Feel free to leave me any constructive criticism in the comments, that will make these reports more enjoyable for me and for you. Happy reading.

DarkOps scenery review
Something a little different for you today.
Whilst at Invasion I got chatting with Steve Perry of DarkOps - check them out here. I've met Steve previously at the Expo and had seen his amazing board via Facebook, but didn't really get to talk much.
At Invasion he was showing off some really stunning sci-fi scenery pieces. He asked if we at OB would do a review of his product, to which I said yes.... obviously!
This will be an honest review. We have not taken payment or sponsorship in any form.
Although Steve did give me The Blade as the review piece.

Mega Mikes Invasion Day 1
Invasion has been and gone. As most of you already know, I managed to to fight off 49 other competitors and lift the Invasion 2016 Champion trophy (for the second time).
So, here is a run through of my games from day 1 and their key moments. In the next post I will run through day 2 and reflect on my list and the UCM in general and finish up with where now for me.
I have spent a fair bit of time over the past few weeks making sure that my army was fully painted and up to scratch. From the new units like Mortar Teams, Hazard Suits and Starsprite Drones to re-vamping old units like adding squad markings to infantry and Ravens and basing the remaining flight stands. I received a lot of nice compliments on my army which I was very grateful for. I'm not the greatest painter, but I have put a lot of love and effort into my army.
On day 2's run through there will be few shots of my army and some of the units individually.

Invasion 2016 Scrapbook and Best Painted Pics
Sgt Slaughter's giant, gaping face. Just one of the pleasure's you'll find in our scrapbook! |
Let's not be silly, I know what your boggle is, you yearn for more video content! Well never fear, Tech Boy has patched us together a rather inviting scrapbook of Invasion 2016, which is full to the brim of fun and naughty words, so here is your NSFW warning. It is likely to be Saturday heavy, as Ed was doing rather well at the end of day 1 so needed to focus on the Sunday.
Also, the best painted winner, a Mr Simon Jones, has sent over a host (get it?) of pictures for his award winning Scourge for your viewing pleasure! I am led to believe he is a commission painter, so get in touch with him if you like his work (I don't want to add his email, just in case he isn't. Just comment on this thread and he'll see it).

Invasion 2016 Video Interview
Dan and Dave like to Talk..... A lot.
So I took the opportunity to tie them into a chair, and made them talk on camera! The main topic of conversation is all the lovely new units coming out for DZC, so get your ear muffs around these mutterings people!

I AM LADERLAPPEN
For an explanation, you will have to wait for the post-vasion podcast.... |
Invasion is over and boy was it a good event. I think the epitome of it's epicness was obviously me fighting off 49 other gamers to claim the top prize (after a bit of an awkward prize ceremony).
There was literally a ton of new stuff, not just in render form but actual physical models. this made me so very happy as I feel we have been a bit starved of DzC recently. Below is a bit of a picture dump of new stuff, followed by some info that Ravaner (aka Mr Russell the south coast Talon has put into word form on the forum).
