As I haven't received any cards or emails of congratulation, happy birthday to us! It was 12th Feb 2014 when I penned the first introduction post and we've not looked back since. I'd like to thank you all for continuing to come back and give our work a read, and be invested enough to comment on our posts too!
For those of you who are regular readers and podcast listeners you'll be aware that Mike and I (mostly Mike really) give Tech Boy 2000 and Joe a hard time regarding the number of posts they have written. It turns out work was slow for Mike this week, and he ran up some eye opening numbers that I wanted to shame our compadres with...
Number of posts written:
Dan - 138 (51.1%)
Mike - 94 (34.8%)
Ed - 23 (8.5%)
Joe - 11 (4.1%)
Total - 270
What 2017 will end up bringing us a is a bit of a mystery, but we will plod on with ample hobby updates, tales of our tournaments and also deliver more tactical advice this year (something we admittedly fell short on last year). Also there is a general agreement within the group to focus on the good, rather than aspects we're perhaps a little disgruntled with, which means less whining really. We might even delve into more videos, who knows!
If there is anything you would like to read, listen to, or watch this year, comment below and we will do our very best to satiate your need! Also if you have your own blog for Dropzone or Dropfleet Commander, or feature either game regularly, drop us an email and I will add it to the blog roll.
Congrades. Can't believe I have been reading/listening to your guy's BS for 3 years. Keep'm coming Sirs.

Thank you buddy!
DeleteHappy Birthday! You guys produce good stuff. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteCheers chap!
DeleteThis blog helped me to get into DZC, keep up the good work!
ReplyDeleteThat's my favourite kind of feedback!
DeleteWow, three years already? Time flies! Congratulations! I look forward to your posts (all y'all's) every week.
ReplyDeleteAs the Tonight Show used to announce, More to Come!
I know, right? Thanks babe.
DeleteHappy three! I don't think you got me to start DZC - that was probably a mixture of Beasts of War, Michael Russell demoing the game for me at an Invasion I came to as a visitor and seeing a starter set reduced somewhere - but your blog has been pretty important in keeping me motivated and feeling part of a community.
ReplyDeleteIf none of you are interested in this, I guess there's no point following my advice, but I'd love you to play and report on some narrative games rather than just tournament style games.
I enjoy the hard core tournament stuff, don't get me wrong, but I'd love to see you guys design some scenarios, plays some 'fluffy' lists, perhaps a short multi-battle campaign. Especially if it was combined with some custom-built scenery, different types of terrain, converted miniatures, etc. Potentially an opportunity to use famous commanders, but I'd be just as happy seeing you create your own (whether or not they have any special rules).
Interesting idea. I certainly want to play some larger games and use some units that I don't normally.
DeleteMaybe we can do some sort of mini campaign.
Awesome!
DeleteCongratulations on three years old! Hope for many years to come.
